Each app keeps its own policy. Open one to read it.
Your library stays on your device. Only individual requests go out: for book searches, covers, descriptions and series details (the latter also automatically in the background), and for AI-assisted features through our server, namely the detection of import files, series detection, translations of descriptions and the summary in “Insights”. If you switch on "ShelfBuddy in the browser", the app also keeps an encrypted copy of your library on our server, readable only by your phone and the browsers you connected, deletable at any time with one switch. Reports sent through “Report a bug” or “Suggest a feature” go to the feedback service Wiredash and, as a copy, to our server, where they are triaged with AI and deleted after two years at the latest.
To support the app, we show native ads from advertising partners. These partners may process information such as device identifiers, IP address, and app/ad interaction data to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud. Please refer to their privacy policies for details.
Uninstalling the app removes every piece of data stored locally on your device.

NutriWhisper can be connected to Apple Health (iOS) and Health Connect (Android). The following data types are read: weight, steps, sleep and training activities. Weight data can also be written back. These connections are optional and require your explicit consent. The retrieved health data is processed and stored exclusively locally on your device.
When using photo or text input for calorie tracking, images or descriptions are transmitted to Google to determine nutritional information. When using the barcode scanner, product information is retrieved from the Open Food Facts database. Only the scanned barcode is transmitted.
